ICAO
(International Civil Aviation Organization)
Provides international standards and recommended practices (SARPs). ICAO Doc 9625 is the specific document that outlines the standards for the qualification of flight simulation training devices.
FAA
(Federal Aviation Administration)
Applicable in the United States. It uses Part 60 of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR Part 60) to define the qualifications for flight simulation training devices.
EASA
(European Union Aviation Safety Agency)
Applicable in Europe. Issues Certification Specifications for Flight Simulation Training Devices (CS-FSTD(A) for aeroplanes and CS-FSTD(H) for helicopters) under its regulatory framework.
DGCA
(Directorate General of Civil Aviation)
Applicable in India and other national aviation authorities, which may have their own specific standards for FSTD qualification, often aligned with or influenced by ICAO standards.
